Written by Charity Angel Christ our Lord offers true hope for America even with the darkening clouds ahead. So, the election is over and many are in a state of shock, mourning, and of course there are many that are applauding and thinking that they are going to get a free ride from here on out. As a woman stated "Now my gas and mortgage will be paid for!" It is hard to witness the extent to which our nation has fallen from the true and correct principles of freedom. The nation has applauded the idea of robbing their neighbors and themselves for a little portion of the spoils. We could say that at least we know that the plunder can't continue too much longer if we look at things from an eternal perspective. D&C 35: 27 Fear not, little flock, the kingdom is yours until I come. Behold, I come quickly. Even so. Amen. D&C 45: 59 For the Lord shall be in their midst, and his glory shall be upon them, and he will be their king and their lawgiver. Rev. 11: 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. There is a great winter yet to go through, but on the other side, there is a beautiful spring day, unlike anything that we have ever experienced. Many have seen this day, this place, and have looked forward to the time in which we now live. As we notice others around us trembling in fear, burdened by the world, and as we witness their hearts failing them, we can offer them the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can offer them the only true hope that we have, which is in Christ our Lord. Though they may revile you, hate you and persecute you, remember that you must pass through these things in order to stand blameless before the Father, free of the corruption of this generation. The Lord will be with you. Remain faithful, repent continually, and help bring hope to those around you. You live in the greatest time in history. A time when you will see all that has been promised come to pass before your eyes. Be ever thankful for the privilege to have been sent forth in this generation at this time, and stand fearless, full of faith, and be willing to pass through the winter to the beautiful Millennial day. Prepare every needful thing, get your house in order, and continue to fill your spiritual lamp, that you may be a light unto the world. And as you face the trials ahead with faith, remember this too shall pass, and after we are refined, we are better able to serve the Lord. Gather in all that you can, and be sheltered from the storm by your Savior, lean upon Him, and let Him be your strength. And in all things acknowledge him. Do not procrastinate those things that really matter, like time with your family. Remove those things from your life that take away from the things that are best. Simplify your life, and find joy in the sweet peace that the gospel brings.

As a person honestly seeks out the will of the Lord in their life, they will receive the Comforter. No matter what events occur in mortality, the Lord will not leave us comfortless if we seek Him. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27 A person filled with the influence of the Holy Ghost will be an optimistic and cheerful individual. Though governments may reign with tyranny, though our earthly possessions may be lost, the comforts of this world cannot bring the Comfort of the Lord. Thank you for posting your article. |
