After my grandfather passed away, he came to me in a dream. He pointed to the sky, telling me to look. I gazed up into the stars, and I saw that they were twinkling. My grandfather told me that I am a star, and when a star shines its light others will see it, and then they are encouraged to shine as well.

I looked again at the sky, and I saw a few bright stars shining and twinkling. Then I watched as all the stars began to glitter and twinkle across the sky, until suddenly they were all brilliant and bright. It was as if together they had become one solid bright light.

The light was so bright; I had to shade my eyes with my hand. My grandfather then told me that all of us are stars. That we can accomplish more then we realize that we can, and that those who live here on earth at this time will do more. He told me that there is much to do, and it will be miraculous, but that we will all succeed.

As the vision of the stars faded, my grandfather's last words were "Remember the Stars."

Through out history, there has been many times where one voice has awoken others. They in turn raise their voices, and it brings about change. I admire the "one."

There are many of those moments that come to mind. I think of Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Harriet Tubman, Thomas Edison, all the Founding Fathers, and many more.

These people brought freedom to their people in different ways, by standing, even if at first they stood alone.

Many took risks and encouraged others to do so, in order to protect liberty. Washington crossing the Delaware in winter was no easy task. And at moments, I feel that we too are in a time of winter. Things at times look bleak, and reality can be stark and cold. The task ahead is large, and some may say impossible. We are David's in front of a Goliath. We may feel that we are small, and cannot do much to help the current problem, but with courage and faith, much is accomplished.

After having dreamed of my grandfather, I have stepped forward out side of my comfort zone, and have started to speak my mind and tell others what I have learned. I have done things I have never done before.

I have stood on corner's in the freezing snow holding up signs while singing the third verse of the Star Spangled Banner, I have donated to the cause of liberty, I have written many blogs on MySpace and sent out many bulletins, I have created music slide videos, I have emailed my congress and senate members, I have emailed all my friends and family, I have joined meetups, and many many more things. I have finally found myself, by giving myself away.

I have found out that I am not one voice, but part of the voice of many that feel as I do. And they too, have given me the permission to shine because they had the courage to do something.

There is hope yet for America to return to her roots, to free the people and to restore their liberties. The time to act is now, we cannot wait for change, and we must create it. As the people of The United States, it is our responsibility to hold our leaders accountable for all that has been stripped from us. And we must hold ourselves accountable for not speaking up, for not being educated enough, and for not taking our full responsibility.

Our liberty is our responsibility. It is a right that is given by God, but must be maintained by each and every one of us. We can not let others make decisions for us. We must stand up, we must be counted, and we must take on this duty, for our children and our grandchildren, for our neighbors, and our friends. We must not let our nation continue to hang by a thread. The constitution must be restored. It is what grants us the freedoms that our ancestors have enjoyed. It protects us from tyrannical governments. To remove our own armor and do nothing is foolishness.

There are many dangers in the world today, but the greatest dangers do not come from without, they come from within. When a nation's people are divided, they become weakened. Our government has weakened us, we have been separated into "special interest" groups, blacks, whites, gays, single, married, religious and so on. We are the People. Our differences are not what strengthen us. It is our similarities. We all want the ability to choose for ourselves. We all want our privacy, our right to life, happiness, and prosperity. Freedom does unite people. And it is through a united front, that we can make changes. We can restore the Republic.

I have been willing to suffer for freedom so that my children do not have to suffer under tyrants.

When it comes to the Constitution, anything more or less comes from evil.

When you have less then the Constitution, you have anarchy. When you have more then the Constitution (like we do) you have Tyranny.

The perfect balance is government by the people that is for the people.

Lend your voice to restore balance and harmony in our government. If you cannot do it for yourself, do it for those you care about. No longer let your neighbor be robbed of his income, no longer allow your children to be born into debt that they can never pay, help create relationships with other nations rather then controlling and destroying them.

All mankind was meant to have liberty and freedom. Not just this country, not just this land. But it is this land that was set up as an ensign to the nations. It was this land that accomplished this great balance, through people willing to open their mouths and be that "one."

Many nations around the world are watching us now, hoping that we will choose freedom. Our freedom is their freedom. If we will not stand up as our ancestors, and create change, then they too are enslaved.

Just as our founders gave their lives, their wealth and their sacred honor to the cause of liberty, I give mine. They gave much more, then is commonly known, but their sacrifice gave liberty to generations. I want to give that same gift to generations to come.

There is a man currently running for president, which would not vote for anything that was not granted by the Constitution even if it meant that he stood alone in congress, he has stood there in congress for ten terms. He also delivered 4000 babies into this world, has been married for over 50 years. He has given of himself and inspired others like me to give.

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for freedom. We must do more then just vote however. We must lift up our voice, hold up a sign, talk to others about freedom and help tear down the walls that have been built between us through the creation of special interest groups. We must unite, find what we have in common, and build upon those things.

There is hope for America, because there is you. And you have a voice. You are that one. Go out and shine!

What more could be said. It makes my heart leap to know that someone else can see the reality that exists in this country and world and is willing to speak up and act on their convictions.

I will gladly stand beside this woman for her ideals are righteous. Who will stand with us?

Charity,

A great article, and I only have one criticism: your adulation of Martin Luther King and Gandhi. Both were avid Marxists who, like wolves in sheep clothing, had a Gadianton Robber type agenda. For a good explanation of why I have this criticism, see the book, It's Very Simple: The True Story of Civil Rights(), by Gary Allen and the article by Ezra Taft Benson, Civil Rights: Tool of Communist Deception ()

Charity,
I love your article. I couldn't agree more. I am so thankful that there are people that feel the same way I do, and are willing to speak their minds, to try to create some much needed change. I pray that we can all come together, and in the end, be free and have our liberties restored to us.
Thank you for your peace of mind. smilies/smiley.gif

Thank you for your comments. smilies/smiley.gif I appreciate the feedback. To Steven, the Lord uses all things to bring about his purposes. Even though there are things that were not good about those people, after all, we have all have our weaknesses, much good has still come from it. I understand how "civil rights" took away from our God-given rights, and really make no sense when you look at the Declaration that "All men are created equal." I hope to see that equality spread worldwide, but under the banner that it is God that grants us our liberty, not our "Civilization."
