National Delegate for Ron Paul
Posted by: Jeremy Ashton in ron paul, Republican National Convention, national delegate on May 05, 2008
Saturday was my Republican District Convention (7th District of Virginia). Though the powers that be tried put much effort towards the elimination of the influence of the Ron Paul supporters, I did end up getting elected to go to the Republican National Convention as a delegate (alternate). There were 6 opens spots and only 5 non-Ron Paulians vying for the positions - so they had to let one of the 4 Ron Paul supporters in (an oversight I'm sure they won't let happen if there ever is a next time). I was selected to be that person - I figure it's because I'm a Mormon and so they supposed I must also be a Mitt Romney supporter (boy were they wrong). Anyway, I'm interested in meeting any other LDSFreemen or Ron Paul supporters who will also be attending the convention. Please contact me through LDSFreemen.com if you or anybody you know will be in attendance.

| Congratulations Jeremy. We've got a lot of Ron Paul delegates up for nomination for national delegate at the upcoming Utah State Republican Convention. At the county convention last week we were able to nominate a Ron Supporter running for State Legislature in my district. Now we've got to figure out how to beat the Democrat incumbent. | |

| At our district convention in Missouri, we voted in 3 Ron Paul supporters. They are great people but not from our church. We didn't do as well at our state convention. I believe there was also one delegate elected at the District near St. Louis. | |
